Financial Climate Contribution

Our company makes a financial contribution to climate protection. What does that mean? Together with our partner ClimatePartner, we have recorded the CO2 emissions of our company and created the Corporate Carbon Footprint. We invest in climate protection projects to the extent of the calculated emissions.

Avoidance and reduction of CO2 emissions

Before offsetting our CO2 emissions, we want to avoid or reduce CO2 emissions where possible. Among other things, we reduce our CO2 emissions through the following projects:

  • We draw electricity from our own photovoltaic system.
  • We generate heat with our own combined heat and power plant.

Our Corporate Carbon Footprint is updated annually to monitor the success of our reduction measures.

Offsetting CO2 emissions

We offset CO2 emissions through climate protection projects. Therefore, we are certified as a "company with a financial climate contribution." An overview can be found at www.climatepartner.com/16028-2103-1001. Through climate protection projects, CO2 is saved elsewhere, such as in our current project "Renewable Energies Asia."

Avoidance of packaging waste

In accordance with § 15 Abs 1 S. 5 VerpackG, we are obliged to take back and recycle packaging that is not subject to the system. We are happy to fulfill this obligation. Please send us a return notice to this effect to info@magna-sweets.de.

Forest protection, Mataven, Kolumbien

As the largest project in Colombia, this initiative protects 1,150,200 hectares of tropical rainforest and preserves its biodiversity. It provides education, health care, sanitation, food security, etc. for 16,000 indigenous people. The project works hand in hand with the communities to improve their living conditions and promote sustainable economic growth.

Marine Conservation, Plastic Bank, Worldwide

Many countries lack the necessary infrastructure to dispose of plastic waste properly. In many places in Haiti, Indonesia or the Philippines, inhabitants collect plastic waste. This can then be exchanged at a Plastic Bank - for money, school fees, food.
