Fairtrade

Fairtrade - "Crazy about Chocolate but serious about people".

"Human rights must no longer be dragged through the cocoa", a strong saying but how is it implemented?
Since 2005 Tony's Chocolonely has made it their business to grow, produce and market chocolate 100% without slavery. Their motto: "Human rights must no longer be dragged through the cocoa".

Even in this day and age, slavery still exists. Millions of people work on cocoa plantations and are victims of modern slavery, 1.56 million of them are children.
To counteract this and trade fair chocolate, Tony's is working with a homegrown concept to improve the Fair Trade chocolate supply chain.
In 2020, Tony's Chocolonely won the Goos Egg award for sustainability and responsibility along the supply chain.

What does Fairtrade mean now? Fairtrade identifies goods that originate from fair trade and have met certain social, environmental and economic criteria in their production. It thus connects consumers, companies and producer organizations and changes trade through better prices for smallholder families, as well as humane working conditions for employees on cocoa plantations.

If you like to try new chocolaty flavors, this is the place to be. Tony's Chocolonely offers a variety of different flavors and those who can't eat a whole bar or want to try it first should take a closer look at the new Tiny Tony's 😉 The mini bars find a place in the following Advent calendars: Appventskalender Maxi and Adentskalender Multi.
