MAGNA sweets is FSC®-certified since 14 June 2019 and committed to the protection of the forest and people. Forests are the lungs of our planet. They enrich the atmosphere with oxygen, regulate the climate, cleanse our water, are the habitat of many plants, animals and people and create a variation of different and important products.

The well-being of our forest concerns us all. Whatever we give to the nature, we get back in return!

We are convinced that the forest must maintain its’ social, ecological and economical value. Therefore, the most promising approach is sustainable forest management with an official certificate.

The certification of sustainable forests and the proof of wood from sustainable sources has become an important topic in the last couple of years. These certificates ensure the consumer, that the marked products of wood or paper were created with raw materials from properly and conscientiously managed forests.

The most important establishment in Germany would be the Forest Stewardship Council - commonly known as FSC®. It’s an international, charitable organization with the goal to promote ecological and social forest management on various products worldwide. You can find roughly 494 million acres of FSC®-certified forest in 85 countries around the world and Germany manages around 3 million of these acres (Last update: 5 March 2018).

In German forests, FSC® stands for a management, which doesn’t overuse the forest, supports ecological diversity without genetic engineering, pesticides or clear cutting. FSC® also promotes the enlargement of natural mixed woodland, the protection of rare species and eco systems, fair payment and more citizen participation. The FSC® certificate is awarded by independent third parties and will be reviewed annually.

So, the FSC® was founded to support an ecological, social and economically viable forest management around the world to ensure we meet the needs of today’s generation without risking the needs of future generations.

FSC® is THE symbol for responsible forest management. And MAGNA sweets is a part of it.
